Job summary

Hela Spice Canada Inc. in Uxbridge, Ontario is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to lead regulatory programs for Canadian and U.S. foods. You will ensure labels, ingredients, and documentation meet CFIA, Health Canada, SFCR, and FDA requirements while guiding cross‑functional teams through product development and commercialization.

Two direct reports, strong regulatory knowledge, and leadership experience are essential to drive compliance and continuous improvement across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of progressive regulatory affairs experience in food manufacturing or ingredients.
• Experience leading regulatory projects or teams preferred.
• Knowledge of CFIA, Health Canada, SFCR and FDA is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regulatory function and provide guidance across the organization.
• Maintain knowledge of Canadian and U.S. regulations and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Ensure products and ingredients comply with CFIA, Health Canada, SFCR and FDA requirements.
• Review labels, ingredients, allergen declarations, Nutrition Facts, and bilingual labeling.
• Support R&D during new product development and reformulation for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain regulatory documentation and records for audits and certifications.
• Coach and develop the regulatory team and collaborate with QA, Sales, Ops.
