Job summary

Rexall Pharmacy Group in Canada is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to ensure patient care, accurate prescriptions, and efficient dispensing in a busy community setting. You will assist the pharmacist with preparation, packaging, labeling, and distribution of medications while maintaining strict accuracy and privacy standards.

The role requires a Pharmacy Technician Diploma or bridging program, successful PEBC Qualifying exam, and licensure in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Diploma or Bridging program from an accredited college.
• Successful completion of the PEBC Qualifying exam.
• Membership in good standing with the province's College of Pharmacists (e.g. OCP).
• 1 year continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Proficient computer knowledge and Windows skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate process flow for patient records retention.
• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system.
• Complete documentation i.e. Third party management and reconciliation, patient files, prescriptions, printing reports, invoices etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and dispensary.
• Support the pharmacy team with inventory management.
• This role is filling an existing vacancy on the team.
