Job summary

Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd. in Canada seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and distributing prescriptions. You will input prescriptions and consent forms into the pharmacy system, manage documentation, and help maintain patient records and inventory.

The role requires a Diploma/ Bridging program, PEBC exam, and provincial licensure. Candidates should have 1 year of pharmacy experience, strong computer skills, and Windows proficiency.

Qualifications

• Completed a Pharmacy Technician Diploma or Bridging program from an accredited College (Required).
• Successful completion of the PEBC Qualifying exam (Required).
• Membership in good standing with the provincial College of Pharmacists (e.g. O.C.P.) (Required).
• 1 year continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Proficient computer knowledge and Windows proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system.
• Complete documentation i.e. Third party management and reconciliation, patient files, prescriptions, printing reports, invoices etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and dispensary.
• Support the pharmacy team with inventory management.
• This role is filling an existing vacancy on the team.

How You Will Make Impact
