Job summary

Rexall Canada is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support patient care, accuracy, and efficiency in our dispensing team. You will assist the Pharmacist with prescription preparation, labeling, and patient communication in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

The ideal candidate has a Pharmacy Technician Diploma, PEBC Qualifying exam, and licensure in good standing; with at least one year of pharmacy experience and solid computer skills to manage records, enrolments, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Completed a Pharmacy Technician Diploma or Bridging program from an accredited College (Required).
• Successful completion of the PEBC Qualifying exam (Required).
• Membership in good standing with the provincial College of Pharmacists (e.g. O.C.P.) (Required).
• 1 year continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Proficient computer knowledge and skills; Windows proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system.
• Complete documentation i.e. Third party management and reconciliation, patient files, prescriptions, printing reports, invoices etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and dispensary.
• Support the pharmacy team with inventory management.

• Responsible to ensure accurate process flow related to patient records retention.
• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system.
• Complete documentation i.e. Third party management and reconciliation, patient files, prescriptions, printing reports, invoices etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and dispensary.
• Support the pharmacy team with inventory management.
• This role is filling an existing vacancy on the team.

How you will succeed:

• Completed a Pharmacy Technician Diploma or Bridging program from an accredited College (Required).
