Summary

Assist with the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions, support pharmacy services, and participate in pharmacy operations to provide superior, timely, and pleasant customer service.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers, gather prescription info, and refer clinical inquiries to pharmacists.
• Dispensing: Accurate medication dispensing, third-party adjudication, and managing prescriptions and ancillary items.
• Confidentiality: Maintain privacy and confidentiality standards.

Administration

• Process prescriptions, manage orders, and handle third-party billing.
• Answer calls, manage faxes, and file documentation accurately.

Prescription Workflow

• Assist in prescription preparation, data entry, and medication selection.
• Count, measure, package, label prescriptions, and maintain pharmacy data systems.

Skills & Qualifications

• Registered with provincial licensing college.
• Diploma from Pharmacy Technician College.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Organizational skills, multitasking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
