TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods is seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our bovine practice across Southern Alberta (Lethbridge/Taber/Brooks). You will support veterinarians in bovine medicine, lead herd health initiatives, and build strong producer relationships through on-farm and in-clinic work.

Ideal candidates hold ABVMA-licensed RVT credentials, strong communication, and a passion for cattle health.

Qualifications

• RVT licensure with Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA) required.
• Strong communication and proactive problem solving skills.
• Passion for bovine medicine and herd health.
• Clean and valid full Class 5 Driver's License or provincial equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with veterinarians in bovine medicine across dairy, cow-calf, and feedlot settings.
• On-farm data recording, processing, and technical duties for herd health programs.
• In-clinic duties including reporting, prescription management, and reception tasks.
• Lead field service initiatives and coordinate with producers across Southern Alberta.
• Dispense medications and manage inventory in field/warehouse settings.
• Build and maintain strong producer relationships and education initiatives.
• Support the advancement of preventative herd health practices.

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for our bovine practice, who will join a team made up of bovine practitioners and nutritionists across our multiple locations. You will help transform bovine healthcare as our lead field services RVT. Working across Southern Alberta (Lethbridge/Taber/Brooks), you'll conduct on-farm health programs, lead herd health initiatives, and build strong producer relationships. This role offers increasing autonomy and the opportunity to shape modern cattle health practices.

As a RVT, you will play an essential role in assisting veterinarians in all aspects of bovine medicine, including feedlot, cow-calf, and dairy productions. Your technical expertise and dedication to animal care will be crucial to the success of our veterinary services and the health of our clients' herds. Our RVTs are a highly valued and integral part of our team. They play a critical role in taking on a variety of essential responsibilities that directly contribute to the quality of care we provide to our patients and the smooth operation of our facility.

• Work with clients on farms for data recording, processing, and various technical duties.
• In-clinic duties which include reporting, prescription management, and reception
• Work on a rotating schedule to dispense medications, medical supplies, and veterinary products in the warehouse facility, ensuring accurate inventory management and timely fulfillment of orders
