Job summary

Beattie Pet Hospital – Stoney Creek, part of National Veterinary Associates, seeks an experienced RVT to work in a fast-paced general and emergency practice. You will assist with routine exams, procedures, surgeries, and anesthesia while providing compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RVT with active registration.
• Experience in emergency and general practice preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Work within general practice and emergency caseloads.
• Assist with urgent and routine exams, procedures, and surgeries.
• Monitor anesthesia and provide critical patient care.
• Respond to walk-in emergencies and high-acuity cases.
• Perform diagnostics including lab work, imaging, and ultrasounds.
• Advocate for patient care and Fear Free handling.
• Collaborate with veterinary team.

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who is confident, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency and general practice setting.

About the role:

• Work within both general practice and emergency caseloads
• Assist with urgent and routine exams, procedures, and surgeries
• Monitor anesthesia and provide critical patient care
• Respond to walk-in emergencies and high-acuity cases
• Perform diagnostics including lab work, imaging, and ultrasounds
• Advocate for patient care and support Fear Free handling principles
• Work closely with a collaborative veterinary team in a dynamic environment

S chedule:

• 12-hour shifts
• Must be flexible and comfortable with emergency caseloads
