Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health System is seeking a radiologic technologist (MRT) to perform a variety of radiographic procedures at a technical level across multiple Hamilton sites, including Charlton Campus, King Campus, Satellite Health Facility and West 5th Campus.

Candidate must be CM RITO registered, with MRT experience, and willing to participate in departmental committees. CAMRT/OA MRSA membership preferred; on-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is required.
• Membership in CAMRT and Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences is preferred.
• Documentation of continued post-graduate education is required.
• Willingness to participate in departmental committees and meetings (e.g. Quality Management Committee, Safety Committee, Education Committee, Team Meetings).
• Experience with Hospital Radiology Information Systems is required.
• Computer skills in a Windows environment are an asset.
• Previous years of MRT experience is essential.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures on equipment is required.
• Good attendance and work record is essential.

Responsibilities

• Using CMRITO Standards of Practice and Organizational Policies and Procedures, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level.
• Maintain competency and follow standards as outlined by CMRITO.
• Collaborate with a team to fulfill assigned duties.
