Job summary

True North Psychological Services is seeking a Registered Social Worker to build and manage your own practice within the Kingston Nova Scotia clinic. You will work with a steady referral base and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

This role emphasizes PTSD and trauma-informed care, with support for professional growth, flexible scheduling, and in-clinic work. Minimum commitment is 20 hours per week as a full-time contractor.

Qualifications

• Master’s of Social Work.
• Registered and in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Professional Liability Insurance (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches.
• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and case management skills (e.g., timely reports).

Responsibilities

• Provide experienced care with an emphasis on PTSD and Trauma-Informed Care.
• Able to provide experienced care with Veterans and First Responders.
• Effectively manage case load, reporting.
