Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our dedicated care team. You will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents, focusing on safety, comfort, and daily well-being in a warm home-like environment.

As part of a supportive team, you will document care, collaborate with physicians and staff, and help residents live fully with dignity. The role offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
• Current Medication Administration certificate.
• Minimum of one year experience in geriatric nursing, healthcare and/or rehabilitation as an RPN.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Sienna may utilize AI to screen applicants for this position.

What makes you a great fit?

• Strong knowledge of safe medication administration, with the ability to prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of nurses of Ontario standards
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to following up on all concerns and complaints forwarded by a Client, family or team members and informs/seeks assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate
• Promoting the Client’s self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasize adaptation and abilities, promote wellness and provide preventative health education, thus by treating the whole person
• Proven ability to complete assessments, RAPS, and individualized care plans accurately and within required timeframes
• Supporting the unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education
• Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset
• Performing other duties as assigned

What You Need To Know

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
