Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to provide resident-focused care in Streetsville Community. You will report to the Director of Care and contribute to a compassionate, respectful home for our residents.

The role offers competitive wages of $33.47–$35.07 per hour under the SEIU Collective Agreement, with benefits, growth opportunities, and a collaborative team environment. You will help ensure safety, dignity, and quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Licensed RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Ability to identify risk and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with policy, orders, and resident plans.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care through sound nursing practices.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, communicating with residents and families, and guiding staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit.
• Manage admissions, readmissions, changes in status, and ongoing assessments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
