Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse for a temporary full-time shift from 15:00 to 23:00 at the Scarborough Rockcliffe Care Community. The role offers a competitive pay rate within the collective agreement and strong benefits, including health and dental, SOAR, and employee share purchase options.

You will provide nursing and personal care, coordinate with families and staff, supervise care teammates, and lead admissions and ongoing resident assessments to support resident

Qualifications

• Licensed RPN in good standing with Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with policy, orders and residents' plans.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care and communicate with families, guiding staff

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
