Job summary

EXTENDICARE in Windsor, ON, seeks a dedicated RPN to provide care to residents in accordance with established standards. Key responsibilities include developing care plans and leading personal care staff.

The ideal candidate will have current registration with the provincial College of Nurses, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexible working hours and a supportive professional atmosphere are provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, review and evaluate resident care plans


• Provide leadership to personal care staff by planning, directing, supervising and evaluating their work


• Assist in orienting and training new team members

Qualifications

• Current registration with provincial College of Nurses


• Compassion, professionalism, and respect


• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English


• Must possess strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management and customer focus skills


• Must maintain competencies as per the governing College standards


• Skills in use of computer and Microsoft Office applications
