Job summary

Global Healthcare Solutions in St. John's, Newfoundland, is seeking experienced Personal Care Assistants to join our care team. You will provide personal care to residents in accordance with individual care plans to meet their needs.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with bathing, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and participating in recreational activities. You will take direction from the RN and/or LPN to coordinate daily duties and resident care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Personal Care Attendant Education Program from a recognized institution (or recognized nursing education) is REQUIRED.
• 2–3 years of work experience as Personal Care Attendant
• Availability for days, nights and weekends
• Applicants must be in good health and capable of performing physical components of the position (lifting and transferring residents)

Our client is a private home care center located in the city of St.John’s, Newfoundland and we are currently seeking experiencedPersonal Care Assistants to join our care team. As a Personal Care Assistant , you will provide client personal care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans in order to meet the individual residents’ needs.

As part of our team, the successful candidate will assist residents with routine activities of daily living such as bathing, hygiene, dressing, assisting with feeding residents, and participating in recreational activities as necessary. The Personal Care Attendant takes direction from the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) regarding coordination of daily duties and resident care.

Requirements

Completion of an approved Personal Care Attendant Education Program from a recognized institution (or recognized nursing education) is REQUIRED

2 – 3 years of work experience in the role of Personal Care Attendant
