Our client is a private home care centre located in the heart of St. John’s, Newfoundland and is currently seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPNs)to join our care team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide exemplary client care and services while leading other members of the healthcare team to do the same.

• Apply dressings and treatments
• Take and record vital signs
• Administer medications and injections
• Assess and monitor patient’s symptoms
• Assist with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other healthcare staff.
• Promote client-directed care, self‑care and independence through teaching and encouragement.
• Maintain the standard of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL) or eligible for the LPN registration with CLPNNL
• Physical Assessment, Palliative/ Hospice Care experience preferred.
• Previous experience working in a senior’s independent living environment and/or long‑term care preferred.
• Alzheimer’s and/ or other Dementia Care experience are considered an asset.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
