Job summary

ParaMed in Canada seeks a Registered Practical Nurse to perform scheduled community visits, assess patient needs, and deliver ethical, safe nursing care within your scope.

You will maintain patient records, build rapport, travel within a designated area, and participate in on-call coverage, with opportunities for career advancement and a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Must be registered with the CNO as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.
  • Experience delivering community care is an asset.
  • Reliable and flexible with willingness to travel within designated area.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.
  • On-call coverage required, including after hours, to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in scheduled community visits to address patient needs within your scope of practice.
  • Provide ethical and safe nursing care.
  • Use assessment tools to evaluate patient needs and adjust care plans.
  • Maintain and update patient records related to encounters and plans.
