Job summary

ParaMed in Timiskaming, Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for community visits and home care support. The role offers autonomy and a work-life balance with flexible scheduling across part-time and full-time options.

You will provide ethical nursing care, assess patient needs, and implement care plans under RN supervision, enabling patients to stay safely at home. Travel to patient residences is required.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the CNO as an RPN.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle access.
• Experience in delivering community/home care is an asset.
• Willingness to travel within designated area.
• On-call coverage including after hours.

Responsibilities

• Participate in scheduled visits in the community to look after patient needs within your scope of practice.
• Provide ethical and safe nursing care.
• Use appropriate assessment tools/techniques to assess patients’ individual needs.
• Execute and continuously monitor care plans and adjust as required.
