Headwaters Health Care Centre is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join the Ambulatory Care Department on a part-time basis. The RPN will deliver patient-centered nursing care within the Ambulatory Care setting and collaborate with the health team to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold current RPN licensure, BCLS, and relevant ambulatory care certifications, with at least two years of recent clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Current RPN certification in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Current BCLS certificate required.
• Perioperative Nursing 1 and 2 course completion, or Surgical pathway certification, required.
• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience (within the last 3 years).
• Demonstrated Physical Assessment skills.
• Additional ambulatory care certifications (Wound Care, IV Therapy, etc.) assets.
• Laser Safety certification within 6 months of hire date.
• Appropriate lifting techniques.
• Good attendance and performance records.

Position Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Practical Nurse within the Ambulatory Care Department.

The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient/family focused nursing care to a patient population with predictable outcomes. As part of the interdisciplinary health team, the RPN will practice within their full scope in accordance with the nursing philosophy and standards set by HHCC, the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Regulated Health Professions Act legislation.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) certification in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Current BCLS certificate required
• Perioperative Nursing 1 and 2 course completion, or Surgical pathway certification, required

• Appropriate lifting techniques
• Acceptable performance and attendance records

Hiring Salary Range:$38.210 - $39.019
