Job summary

Brant Community Healthcare System, a two-site community hospital in Brantford and Paris, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Operating Room nurse. You will provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room and contribute to patient safety and positive outcomes.

Requirements include a diploma in nursing, current RN registration in Ontario, BCLS certification, a post-graduate OR course, and at least 1 year of OR experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited college nursing program.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Completion of post-grad Operating Room course required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year current Operating Room experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room.
  • Report to the Manager, Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery, the successful applicant will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care in the operating room and must meet the following criteria:

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited college nursing program
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Completion of post-grad Operating Room course required
  • Minimum of one (1) year current Operating Room experience required.
