Job summary

Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join the Medicine team. You will report to the Manager of Medicine and provide patient care in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary setting with a stable, predictable outcome within the CNO-defined scope of practice.

The ideal candidate holds Ontario RPN registration, 2 years of acute care experience, full scope of practice, and coronary care course or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Ontario College of Nurses registration is required.
• Ability to work at full scope of practice.
• Coronary Care 1 Course or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years recent acute care nursing experience.
• Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with patients, families and healthcare professionals.

• Participation in quality improvement initiatives on the unit.

Reporting to the Manager of Medicine, Owen Sound Site, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide care to those patients with a stable and predictable outcome within the defined professional scope of practice as set out by the CNO.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Ontario College of Nurses registration
