Job summary

Brightshores is seeking a part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at the Lions Head site to provide patient care within the professional scope of practice. The RPN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care and contribute to unit goals.

Ideal candidates hold an Ontario RPN license, complete required courses, and demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning and patient safety, reflecting Brightshores’ values.

Qualifications

• RPN registration with Ontario College of Nurses or equivalent.
• Completed Asepsis course.
• Completed medication course.
• Recent medical nursing experience.
• Unit-specific certification.
• Leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Participation in staff meetings and unit projects.
• Advocates and supports patient safety and Brightshores values.

WAGE RATE: $37.071 - $38.157

QUALIFICATIONS Required:

• Ontario College of Nurses registration and/or equivalent
• Successful completion of Asepsis Course
• Successful completion of Medication Course
• Recent medical nursing experience
• Complete unit specific certification
• Leadership, problem-solving and decision making skills
• Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development
• Participation in staff meetings and unit specific projects
• Ability and willingness to ensure patient safety e.g. “following routine practices and practicing diligent hand washing, completing patient risk assessments, reporting adverse events”
• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
