Job summary

Brightshores is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for the Owen Sound site in the Medicine department. The role is part-time and temporary (end date March 2028).

The successful candidate will work within an inter-disciplinary team to provide care to patients with stable, predictable outcomes, under the defined scope of practice. Required are Ontario College of Nurses registration, full scope practice, and at least 2 years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Ontario College of Nurses registration is required.
• Ability to work at full scope of practice as a Registered Practical Nurse.
• Coronary Care 1 Course or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
• Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives on the unit.
• Demonstrate Brightshores values and patient safety awareness.

WAGE RATE: $37.071 - $38.157

Reporting to the Manager of Medicine, Owen Sound Site, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide care to those patients with a stable and predictable outcome within the defined professional scope of practice as set out by the CNO.

QUALIFICATIONS Required:

• Ontario College of Nurses registration
