Job summary

Brant Community Healthcare System is seeking nurses for the Medical Integrated Program, the hospital's largest clinical team across three floors. You will work within a hospitalist-led model alongside RNs, RPNs and PSWs, with opportunities to cross-train as patient census changes.

Ideal candidates hold a nursing degree, are registered with the CNO, and maintain BCLS certification. The organization emphasizes education, equity and a supportive 24/7 on-call environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care across three floors (B6, B7, B8) in the MIP hospitalist model.
  • Collaborate with RNs, RPNs, PSWs and interprofessional team.
  • Cross-train to learn new roles as census changes.

Position Summary

Our Medical Integrated Program is the single largest clinical team in the hospital. Encompassing three floors (B6, B7 and B8) this program has a varying patient population with acute care needs. MIP is a hospitalist led model of care, including RNs, RPNs and PSWs, practicing to their full scope. Nurses on this unit will be given the opportunity to cross train between all of three floors, allowing them to learn new roles and help their colleagues as patient needs and census changes

Education Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college nursing program
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

  • Current two (2) years of experience in a medical/surgical setting
