North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Alternate Health Facility (AHF) at Cartier Site – Spruce Grove. The 40-bed unit provides transitional or post-acute care, with an interprofessional team including physicians, nurses, and personal support workers.
The role requires current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, BLS, and training in dementia care, pharmacotherapy, falls/mobility, osteoporosis, and delirium.

The Alternate Health Facility (AHF) is a 40-bed unit located off site. The AHF will care for patients who require transitional care or an alternative destination of care whose acute care needs have been met, but may require transfer to rehabilitation, long-term care, a retirement home or other post-acute care services. Patients at the AHF will be cared for by an inter professional care team of physicians, nurses and personal support workers, in conjunction with dietary, environmental services, and support from the Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner. Equipped for acute medicine patients, the AHF site offers the same quality of care as NBRHC main site.
