Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Canada seeks Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to provide planned, patient-centered nursing care in line with provincial standards. Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
• Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred.
• Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/long term care an asset.
• Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.
• Integrate into a multi-disciplinary team and maintain continuous communication with residents, families and colleagues.
• Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and adjust as required.
• Complete resident assessments, care plans and documentation accurately and communicate changes as required.
• Teach, delegate and direct unregulated care providers, providing coaching and mentorship.
