AgeCare is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario. The RPN will provide nursing care to residents, support Personal Support Workers, and collaborate with physicians and the health care team to ensure high-quality resident care.

In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, you will implement AgeCare policies, liaise with external health care partners, and monitor resident status changes. AgeCare offers great pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth in a diverse team environment.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to residents as per required medical care and nursing practice.
• Direct Personal Support Workers as defined by the standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team and notify physician of significant changes when RN is unavailable.
• Coordinate with care team to meet residents’ needs and participate in shift reports.

Provides input into the revision of procedures within the residence and the unit.Liaises with physicians and other members of the health care team including external health care partners.
