Chartwell Retirement Residences in London, Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to support residents with comprehensive nursing care and a person-centered approach. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, dignified care and clear communication with residents and families.

This role requires current LPN registration in Ontario, CPR/First Aid, and a commitment to leadership in a compassionate care environment.

Formación

• Must hold a current LPN registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Active First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Experience in care, retirement, or healthcare is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for residents, families, and colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Provide professional nursing care in line with provincial standards and policies.
• Monitor health status, administer medications and treatments, and document care.
• Support residents during transition into the residence and with families.
• Respond to concerns promptly and escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care.
• Provide leadership and guidance to care staff.
• Participate in team meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all.

The Opportunity

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional care and building meaningful relationships with older adults? As a Registered Practical Nurse at Chartwell, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our residents. Your clinical expertise, empathy, and commitment to a positive resident experience will help create a safe, welcoming environment where residents feel supported, valued, and cared for every day.

What You’ll Do

• - Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the provincial College of Nurses standards, legislative requirements, and Chartwell policies
• - Monitor residents’ health status, administer medications and treatments, and accurately document care
• - Support residents during their transition into the residence, ensuring they and their families feel comfortable and informed
• - Respond to resident or family concerns promptly, taking appropriate action or escalating as needed
• - Collaborate with allied health professionals, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• - Provide leadership and guidance to personal support workers and other care staff
• - Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• - Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff

What You’ll Bring

• - Current registration and in good standing with the provincial College of Nurses
• - Current First Aid and CPR certification
• - Experience working in care, retirement, or healthcare (an asset)
• - Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Additional Requirements

• - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• - Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening required
• - Physical ability to assist residents and perform tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• - Preparedness to respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively
• - Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
