Job summary

Humber River Health’s Wilson Site in Toronto is seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join an interdisciplinary team in acute and post-acute care settings. This permanent, full-time role supports cross-site work at Reactivation Care Centres as needed, with rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
• Eligibility for CPA membership.
• Previous physiotherapy experience in acute care is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
• Positive attendance record.
• Availability to work during both week and weekend is an asset.
• Understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion principles is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment for referred patients in medical, surgical, and specialty units within the acute care and post-acute settings.
• Deliver cross-coverage services, ensuring appropriate assessment and intervention for patients across units.
• Prioritize and manage patient caseload to meet clinical needs and organizational goals.
• Accurately document patient assessments, progress, and discharge plans per professional standards.
• Record workload measurement data in a timely and precise manner.
• Collaborate as part of the interdisciplinary health care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate flexibility in caseload management and program assignments.
• Manage patient care efficiently in fast-paced acute and post-acute environments.
• Provide clinical supervision to Rehabilitation Assistants per Ontario standards.
• Participate in clinical teaching and supervision of Physiotherapy students.
