Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician - Long Term Care

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy of medication preparation, checking prescriptions for legal compliance and quality, including weekly strip packaging, compliance packages, and non-packaged products.
• Implement corrections when discrepancies are identified.
• Count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications accurately.
• Maintain organized and efficient checking processes to support workflow and delivery schedules.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with regulations.
• Stay current with legal requirements, professional standards, and workplace policies.
• Promote an inclusive and welcoming workplace environment.

Qualifications:

• Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing.
• Liability insurance to practice legally as an RPhT.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail).
• Experience in high-volume filling environments is preferred.
• Experience with PacMed or PacVision is an asset.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
