Mint Health + Drugs in Stony Plain, AB is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacist-led team and help deliver thoughtful service, precise prescription processing, and safe, effective patient care in a collaborative community setting.

You’ll perform dispensing checks, compounding, medication histories, and support pharmacy operations, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, initiative, reliability, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Registered and in good standing with Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Kroll.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prescription Processing:Receive, transcribe, and verify the technical accuracy of new and refill prescriptions.
• Independent Final Check:Conduct final checks of prepared prescriptions to ensure accuracy before dispensing.
• Compounding:Prepare non-sterile (ointments, liquids) and sterile (intravenous injections, chemotherapy) medications.
• Patient Care:Gather medication histories, administer injections (where authorized), and teach patients how to use medical devices like inhalers or glucometers.
• Inventory & Records:Maintain medication inventory, manage narcotic and controlled substance records, and process third-party billing.
