Job summary

Mint Health + Drugs is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Calgary team. In this role, you will process prescriptions, perform final checks before dispensing, and prepare both non-sterile and sterile medications.

You will also gather patient histories, assist with injections where authorized, and manage inventory and billing records. The ideal candidate will have CCAPP-accredited training, active registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy or eligibility, strong

Qualifications

• Completion of CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Active registration with the provincial regulatory body (Alberta College of Pharmacy) or eligibility.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology and drug calculations.
• Proficiency in Pharmacy Management Systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prescription Processing: Receive, transcribe, and verify the technical accuracy of new and refill prescriptions.
• Independent Final Check: Conduct final checks of prepared prescriptions to ensure accuracy before dispensing.
• Compounding: Prepare non-sterile and sterile medications.
• Patient Care: Gather medication histories, administer injections where authorized, and teach patients how to use medical devices.
• Inventory & Records: Maintain medication inventory, manage narcotic and controlled substance records, and process third-party billing.
