Rotation/Shifts

Days and nights, including weekends, 12-hour shifts. The hospital reserves the right to change shifts as needed.

Basic Requirements

• Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum of three months of general nursing experience
• Knowledge of the nursing process related to general medicine and geriatrics, with ability to apply this knowledge clinically
• Ability to assess patient learning needs and plan appropriate teaching
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to assess discharge needs and participate in planning
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to continuing education and self-evaluation
• Understanding of the Quality Assurance Program and participation in unit activities
• Eligibility to work in Canada
