Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Long-term Care team at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, BC. This relief part-time role offers a chance to care for residents in a dynamic, supportive environment.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, maintain clinical competence, and contribute to quality improvement while following BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards. Shifts are days 08:00 to 15:30, with benefits and pension options.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Post-basic education in gerontology an asset

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients, independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence; participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects

This is a Relief Part Time (0.47) opportunity until May 19, 2028, or the return of the incumbent.Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 08:00 to 15:30 hours.

Mt. Cartier Court located in beautiful Revelstoke offers long-term living for individuals with complex health needs. We offer a range of services provided by caring professionals in a home-like environment. We have a complement of health professionals including: occupational therapist, physiotherapist, pharmacist, dietician, diabetes educator, as well as excellent physician support. Nursing staff is on duty on a 24-hour basis. We have 44 private rooms over three distinct wings or what we call "cottages". Each cottage has a warmly decorated living room with comfortable seating, all have large new televisions, and two have pianos. The decorations throughout the cottages change with each holiday and new season. Our building is relatively new and very well kept. We opened our doors to the community in 2006.
