About The Job

The Registered Nurse:

• Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days, evening and nights rotating from 06:45 to 15:00, 14:45 to 23:00, 22:45 to 07:00 hours.

Nelson Fairview Gardens, a brand-new facility operated by Interior Health as part of the new Nelson Community Health Campus.

This state-of-the-art building will accommodate 75 adults in need of long-term care. The facility features five distinct neighborhoods across three floors, offering both covered and open outdoor spaces with breathtaking mountain and lake views.

Located in Nelson, a charming city with over 10,000 residents, forming one of the three principal urban centers in the Kootenay Boundary region. Conveniently located midway between Vancouver and Calgary, Nelson is a 30-minute drive from Castlegar and an hour from Trail, both of which offer commercial airports.
