As a perioperative nurse, you will work as scrub, circulating, and/or post-anesthesia nurse, collaborating with the interprofessional team to ensure safe, evidence-based care aligned with BCCNM standards and ORNAC guidelines.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

The Registered Nurse-Perioperative, practicing in a variety of clinical settings, provides comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or procedural interventions. Working collaboratively with the interprofessional team, the nurse practices in the roles of scrub nurse, circulating nurse, and/or post-anesthesia nurse, ensuring safe, evidence-based care throughout the perioperative continuum and in alignment with the guidelines established by the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC)
