University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) in Prince George is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse – Pediatrics to provide compassionate, evidence-based patient care.

Under the supervision of the Manager or designate, the RN pediatrics practices in accordance with BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and delivers patient- and family-centered care while adapting to changing health care needs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse – Pediatrics license/registration as required by BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Competence in pediatric care and family-centered approaches.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care in a pediatric setting.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Registered Nurse – Pediatrics practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model. The Registered Nurse - Pediatrics practices in a pediatric clinical setting and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
