Job summary

Interior Health Authority seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Invermere District Hospital in Invermere, BC. The role supports fast-paced emergency care, working both independently and with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with emergency nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to emergency patients, independently and with the team.
• Collaborates with other healthcare providers to enhance patient and family well‑being.
• Contributes to continuous improvement and maintains clinical competence.
• Participates on hospital committees or approved research projects as assigned.
• Demonstrates ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

The Registered Nurse:

• Provides nursing care to emergency patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence
• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned

This is a Relief Full Time opportunity until February 1, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:15, 19:00 to 07:15 hours.
