Job summary

Northern Health in Dawson Creek is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency/High Acuity team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital. You will deliver direct patient care and collaborate with the interprofessional team in a fast-paced environment.

Under BC CCNM standards, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care across a broad range of acuity levels; shift options include days and nights with rotating schedules. Relocation financial support is available.

Qualifications

• Active registered nursing license (RN) in good standing.
• Experience in emergency or high-acuity care preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interprofessional team.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

The Registered Nurse – Emergency/High Acuity, working collaboratively with the interprofessional team, plans and provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care to clients with various complex health care issues, from non-urgent to life threatening to patients in the Emergency & High Acuity departments. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
