Job summary

Houle, BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, seeks a Security Systems Technician for our Prince George service team. You will install, configure and commission Security, Access Control and healthcare technologies across various sites.

Interpret blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing service, repairs and programming for systems. Lenel/Axis/Genetec/DSC/Avigilon knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Security Technician Trade Qualification or be a Certified Electrician with experience installing Security or Healthcare Technologies.
• Must have experience on active construction sites.
• Hold a valid Security Alarm Installer License or be willing to obtain it.
• Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Security Technologies, Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion/Burglar Alarms, RTLS and related networks.
• Knowledge of product lines Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC or Avigilon is preferred.
• Experience on hospital or healthcare construction projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work on job sites to install, configure and commission electrical Security, Access Control and Healthcare systems (CCTV, Nurse Call, RTLS, etc.).
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and construction documents for correct installations.
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Provide ongoing service, repairs and programming of electrical systems with customers.
• Maintain accurate records of installs and service calls.
• Program and integrate different Security and Access Control systems.
• Train users on Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC and Avigilon.
