A leading community health centre in Toronto seeks a committed Registered Nurse to provide essential patient care and participate in health promotion initiatives. The RN will work with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance health equity in diverse communities. Full-time, permanent position with excellent benefits, including a pension plan.
We are a dynamic community-based health centre promoting social justice and health equity in the Regent Park neighbourhood and Downtown East area of Toronto. We operate out of several locations and provide a wide variety of services including: primary health care, chiropody, physiotherapy, health promotion, social work, community health, immigrant and refugee services, harm reduction and homeless programs, addiction and recovery services, Pathways to Education, infant and child development programs, parenting programs, and youth employment services.
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse assists in the provision of direct patient care and community services in order to improve the health of the Regent Park Community. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, working on or off site, the RN serves a high density low income, multicultural, inner city community through a variety of methods including direct client care, health promotion and education, advocacy, and community development.
This is a Full Time Permanent Position, 35 hours per week
Hourly Range: $37.36 to $ 45.01, plus Benefits including HOOPP Pension
This is a bargaining unit position within OPSEU Local 5115.
