Job summary

Yee Hong in Markham, Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care in a resident-centered environment. The RN will supervise daily staff, coordinate care with the inter-disciplinary team, and communicate with residents' families.

Night shifts including weekends may be required; strong leadership, initiative, and customer service are essential; PVSS clearance and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Experience in nursing and staff supervision is an asset.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Good leadership skills.

Job description

Performs the functions of Registered Nurse in compliance with the standards of practice for Registered Nurse developed by the College of Nurses (CNO) and provides high quality nursing service that reflects the organization's resident centred approach, vision and policies. As a Unit Nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible for day to day supervision of staff in the unit and coordination of resident care with interdisciplinary team members as well as communications with families.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario

Physical Demands/Working Condition

• Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending.
• Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact.
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and short shifts. May be required to work an alternate shift(s) to meet operational needs (e.g., emergency, training, accommodation, etc.) as per scheduling practices

Salary Range

$35.39 - $50.85
