Job summary

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medicine on a casual basis in Ontario. The role requires current College of Nurses certificate, BCLS/ACLS, IV therapy certification, and strong cardiac care skills.

You must be able to start IVs, manage IV meds, and respond to critical events. Availability for all three shifts and weekends is required, with commitment to professional development and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Current College of Nurses certificate of competence.
• Current certificate in BCLS & ACLS.
• Certified to start IVs and give IV meds.
• Defibrillation and Cardiac pacing certification required.
• Coronary Care Course or equivalent.
• CVADS experience and 12 lead ECG preferred.
• Recent experience in medical nursing including palliative care.
• Well developed assessment skills necessary.
• Commitment to serve in capacity of charge nurse.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
• Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date.
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required.
• Pre-Employment Health Assessment required.

• Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check

• Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary for effective patient and staff interaction in a busy, demanding environment

HOURS:

• Must be available for all three shifts, and weekends, as per department schedule

SALARY:

• $41.15 - $58.98 per hour
