Job summary

Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, Ontario is seeking a temporary part-time Registered Nurse in the Medicine department. The role requires current nursing registration and the ability to work all three shifts and weekends as per schedule.

Candidates must hold College of Nurses certificate, BCLS & ACLS, IV certifications, defibrillation and pacing certifications, CCU course, CVADS and 12-lead ECG preferred, and have recent medical nursing including palliative care experience.

Qualifications

• Current College of Nurses certificate of competence.
• Current certificate in BCLS & ACLS.
• Certified to start IV's and give IV meds.
• Defibrillation and Cardiac pacing certification required.
• Coronary Care Course or equivalent.
• CVADS and 12 lead ECG preferred.
• Recent experience in medical nursing including palliative care.
• Well developed assessment skills necessary.
• Commitment to serve in capacity of charge nurse.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
• Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Pre-Employment Health Assessment required.

REGISTERED NURSE - MEDICINE

(TEMPORARY PART TIME)

One (1) temporary part time Registered Nurse position is available in the Medicine department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current College of Nurses certificate of competence
• Current certificate in BCLS & ACLS*
• Certified to start IV's and give IV meds*
• Defibrillation and Cardiac pacing certification required*

• CVADS (Central Venous Access Devices) and 12 lead ECG preferred
• Recent experience in medical nursing including palliative care
• Well developed assessment skills necessary
• Commitment to serve in capacity of charge nurse
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required
• Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
• Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired

• Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary for effective patient and staff interaction in a busy, demanding environment

HOURS:

• Must be available for all three shifts, and weekends, as per department schedule

SALARY:

• $41.15 - $58.98 per hour
