Job summary

Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, Ontario is seeking one regular part-time Registered Nurse in the Medicine department. The role requires current nursing certificate of competence and eligibility to work in Ontario, with IV therapy and advanced cardiac skills.

The successful candidate will cover all three shifts and weekends as per department schedule, maintain high standards of patient care, and support the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• Current College of Nurses certificate of competence.
• Current certificate in BCLS & ACLS.
• Certified to start IV's and give IV meds.
• Defibrillation and Cardiac pacing certification required.
• Coronary Care Course or equivalent.
• CVADS (Central Venous Access Devices) and 12 lead ECG preferred.
• Recent experience in medical nursing including palliative care.
• Well developed assessment skills necessary.
• Commitment to serve in capacity of charge nurse.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
• Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date.
• Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired.

One (1) regular part time Registered Nurse position is available in the Medicine department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current College of Nurses certificate of competence

HOURS:

• Must be available for all three shifts, and weekends, as per department schedule
• All other contract rules apply

SALARY:

• $41.15 - $58.98 per hour
