Currently, we are seeking a Registered Nurse to work in our Medical Imaging Department.

Employment Status: Temporary Full Time

Duration: January 2027 (subject to change as per Article B – Management Functions)

Hours of Work: 8-hour rotating shifts on weekdays, evenings, nights, and weekends. On-call rotation required, subject to change per Article B.

Location: Humber River Health, Wilson Site

Labour Group: ONA

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Medical Imaging

Hourly Rate: $39.07 - $56.00

Responsibilities
  1. Perform registered nursing responsibilities in Medical Imaging across all modalities, including patient preparation, pacemaker studies, and post-procedure recovery.
  2. Collaborate effectively with a diverse Medical Imaging team of technologists, radiologists, and clerical staff.
  3. Work collaboratively with external interprofessional teams (CCAC, Nursing Homes, Dialysis, Cardiology, Oncology, etc.).
Requirements
  1. Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  2. Recent experience with special procedures in Radiology, CT, Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Ultrasound, MRI, Prep Recovery, Nuclear Medicine, and Cardiology.
  3. Preferred experience in ICU, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Recovery Room, or Critical Care.
  4. Current BCLS certification.
  5. Proficient ECG interpretation skills.
  6. Ability to initiate IV therapy, administer IV push medications, including IV sedation, and perform venipuncture.
  7. Preferred courses: Coronary Care I & II, OR, Recovery Room, Critical Care.
  8. Strong patient/family teaching skills.
  9. Excellent patient assessment skills; related courses are preferred.
  10. Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, patients, families, and visitors, demonstrating Patient-Centered Care values.
  11. Excellent attendance and discipline-free record.
