Job summary

The Gardens at Qualicum Beach, part of The Care Group, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the care team in Qualicum Beach, BC. The role involves admissions, assessments, medication administration and care planning in a senior living setting.

Candidate must be in good standing with BCCNM, hold a valid CPR/First Aid certificate, and be fluent in English. Long-Term Care experience is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth and comprehensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with BCCNM.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Proficient with electronic documentation (PointClickCare) and eMar.
• Fluent in English both verbal and written.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resident admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Resident assessments and care planning.
• Administration of medications, treatments and wound care.
• Liaises with physicians, families and other members of the care team.
• Delegates tasks to unregulated care providers.
• Participates in Care Conferences and Medication reviews.
