Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Home Health team at Barriere Health Centre in Barriere, BC. This relief part-time role supports clients with safe, realistic goals and coordinated care within the community setting.

Develop a care plan, deliver direct nursing care, and collaborate with other health care providers to enhance quality of life for clients and families. Prioritize ongoing professional development and participate in approved projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration with BCCNM.
• Candidates must hold a valid BC driver’s license.
• Use of a personal vehicle may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the client’s achievement of safe, realistic, and reasonable goals by assessing, planning, coordinating, organizing, implementing, evaluating and transitioning nursing and other care services for the client.
• Develops, implements and adapts a care plan, delivers direct care, assesses service eligibility and provides care management to help clients manage their own care and navigate through the various services available within the community setting.
• Enhances quality of life for the client and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers.
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice.
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence.
• Participates on designated committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

Education

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Valid BC driver’s license

This is a Relief Part Time (0.58) opportunity until April 2, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
