Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a registered nurse to provide chronic and acute hemodialysis care in our Oakville facilities. You will educate patients, initiate/discontinue dialysis, prepare machines, access venous/cenral lines, and monitor treatments with primary nursing follow-up.

The role requires CNO registration and BLS, plus experience with acute hemodialysis and strong documentation skills. On-call duties apply and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
• Preference will be given to those possessing Cneph Certification.
• Must have experience with acute hemodialysis.
• Must have good with equipment, and possess basic computer skills.
• Strong patient assessment skills and patient education skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must enjoy working with chronic patients.
• Must have excellent problem solving skills.
• Must possess excellent documentation skills.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.

Additional Information

Hours: Monday toSunday- days and evenings, 8 and 10 hour shifts; 0700-1500; 0700-1700; 12:30-22:30; 14:30-22:30; (on-call is required and subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary:$41.15 to $58.98 per hour
