Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an already registered nurse for a part-time post in Gynaecology at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. A live NMC pin is required to be considered.

The ward focuses on surgical care for pregnant patients up to 12 weeks and related oncology cases, with an on-site mini-ED and flexible working discussions. The role includes post-op care, admissions/discharges, catheter care, venepuncture, IV administration and infection control, with opportunities for

Job description

The Role

You need to have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post. The department is Gynaecology. We are predominantly a surgical ward. We look after pregnant patients up to 12 weeks gestation with various issues as well as oncology patients. The ward has a mini emergency dept within it. We see emergencies from GP/A&E plus provide some return appointments through this service also. All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

  • Location based in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
  • Part-time position (18 hours per week)
  • Fixed-term Contract for 1 year
