Position Overview

This is a Job Shared position with rotating days and nights, including weekends, on 12-hour shifts.

Basic Requirements

• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Ability to perform BCLS to the College of Nurses Standard
• Minimum three (3) months Medical/Surgical experience
• Knowledge of nursing processes and care of neurological patients
• Ability to assess patient learning needs and plan education
• Effective team participation and communication skills
• Commitment to continuing education and self-evaluation
• Alignment with The Ottawa Hospital's vision, values, and goals
• Eligibility to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuroscience Nursing experience
• CANN certification
• BScN
